Family Update 2014

I've been wanting to do a family update before the baby comes soon and since I have been really behind this last year.
As for me and Jeremy there have been a few changes over the year. We were able to go to Calgary for our 10 year anniversary in March for the weekend. We stayed at an awesome hotel, had a couple massage, dined out at some fancy restaurants and went to the Bon Jovi concert. It was such an awesome weekend. Can't believe will be celebrating 11 years this March. Crazy how time flies.
Jeremy coached football again and was asked to be in the production of "Father of the Bride". He has a hard time saying no and decided it might be fun. He ended up playing the groom and did an awesome job. He got to know a lot of people he otherwise might never have met and made some good friends. It was a very good play! At the end of November he went on a humanitarian trip to Fiji with about 35 other people, some medical doctors, eye doctors, another dentist, builders and lots of others. He was there to do dental work and worked his butt off and was exhausted everyday. He did have some fun, but mostly he was there to work. People came from far needing help that isn't available to them and the people there are very poor. It was a good experience for him, one that he will do again sometime. Jeremy has been wanting to lose the rest of his weight and has been doing so good lately, he is under 200lbs which he hasnt been since we were first married, he is looking so skinny! I am very proud of him! This year he worked hard to build a skate ramp for him and the boys in our shop.. it took a lot of man hours but I was very impressed and him and the boys love playing out there. And some very exciting news is we just bought a dental practise which is a real big deal and were happy about it. Everything is just coming together now, it is called " Horizon Family Dental" in Taber. Hopefully it will continue to be successful and it looks like we will forever be living around here which I am happy about. We have been very blessed.
A few pictures of his trip to Fiji
Trying to keep fit, Nixon is helping him out.
New business cards.. its official!!
Skate ramp is coming together!
As for me I am expecting our 4th boy, yes another boy!!!!! He will be here soon, I am due Feb.14th and I am getting excited about having him here. It was a major shock when I found out we were having another boy and it was a lot harder on me than I would have previously thought. We might try for another one down the road but the reality of being a mom of just boys was hard at first and sometimes still is. But I am very grateful for this sweet precious healthy boy that I will be holding in my arms soon. Nothing much else with me, I did finally get released from being in the primary for 2.5years, so when the baby comes I wont have a calling and it will be nice to have a break and get to go to RS for once. I am very blessed to be able to stay home with my boys too. I enjoy photography still, naps, shopping, anything to do with the spa and travelling. maybe I might get to enjoy some of those once in awhile.. haha.

Soon to be celebrating 11 years with this man. I love you!
Elias turned 7 this November and is in Grade 1. He's getting so old and becoming such a good boy. He is very smart and very helpful with the boys and to help me around the house. He is super friendly and always has a friend following around. He started pond hockey and was in basketball again this year.  He also started cello lessons in Lethbridge which he is learning to really like and enjoys spending extra time with his Dad. He also learned to snowboard this year and is loving it. He is also really into to building things and drawing. He draws so many pictures and love especially to build Lego, he will spends hours building sets. He is learning to read and is doing so well. I couldn't be more proud of the boy he's becoming.
Grade 1

1st time skiing this summer!
Happy 7th Birthday celebrated with a hockey party!
Learning to snowboard this winter, he's Daddy's snowboarding buddy.
Nixon is 4 and started Preschool this year. He loves going to school a few afternoons a week and its nice for me too. He is still a little shy and this helps him meet new friends and have new experiences.
He started power skating this year and has to be in full hockey gear to prepare for hockey next year. He's so little and skinny out on the rink, one of the youngest in the class and is doing very well. He was also in karate with Elias and liked that. Along with Elias, Nixon started violin lessons in Lethbridge too and for the most part enjoys it and is learning a lot and is so stinkin cute playing his instrument. Nixon and Cash are great little buddies and play well together, most of the time. Nixon says that Cash is his best friend, so cute!
Off to Preschool, what a cute boy!

 loving the skier.
Cash turned 2 at the end of August and is becoming quite the little toddler. He is still very busy, but not quite as crazy as he once was. He likes to sit and play more and is a major snuggler with me, which I love. He says the cutest things all the time and it melts my heart, he really is my sweet boy whom we love so much! He recently was potty trained and is doing so good, that will be nice when the baby comes. He loves to wake up in the morning and come to our bed and snuggle and sometimes falls back asleep with us. The only way I can get him to nap anymore is with me and honestly I don't mind at all. I did at first but now its mine and his time to be together.. which will probably end soon once the baby comes. It makes me kind of sad how big he is getting and when the baby arrives it will really seem that way. I have been wanting to write down all the crazy things he has done over the past year.. honestly it was a hard year with him at times, I about pulled out all my hair with him and don't ever want to repeat that year again. Here is a small glimpse into my life with him on a daily basis, this was just a few of the things I remembered to write down.
- poured a whole container of juice on the pantry floor
 - threw my good tweezers down the sink twice
- Aug.13/13  Took off his diaper while I thought he was napping and there was poo on everything, the walls, the rocking chair, the floors, the crib and all over him. and a whole container of baby wipes emptied too. So Gross!!
- Nov.25/13 Flooded Nana's upstairs bathroom, by stuffing the sink with toilet paper. Noone even noticed until the basement room started leaking water.
-Flooded the boys bathroom by stuffing a toothpaste container in the sink. The door was locked and water was running down the hall.
- Flooded the boys bathroom toilet by flushing cars down it.
- Dented my stainless steel stove and fridge by hammering with a metal meat mallet while I was going to the bathroom.
- Caught Cash sucking on the toilet caps more than a few times, so gross!
-Pulling his poopy diaper off all the time!!
- Dumped over the dirty mop bucket after I just finished mopping the floor when I went to answer the door.
- Permanent marker all over the kitchen wall while my visiting teachers were here.
- Broke the the screen on our laptop by throwing off the kitchen island and off 2 pairs of earbuds from Jeremy's earphones.
Bowling Party for Cash's 2nd Birthday!

Potty training pro!

1st time on the skier, he was standing up so proud!
He was a little fish..loves swimming!
1st time skiing this christmas with Daddy, he loved it!
I sure love these sweet boys.. and now onto adding another boy to the mix in just a few weeks!
Hopefully I can keep updating, I will try!

Christmas and quite the scare!

Merry Christmas from the Coopers! I wasn't sure if we would get a christmas card out this year, but we decided to bare the cold and get a quick photo and I am so glad it turned out so cute.

So this Christmas we had quite the scare with Elias on boxing day. Since the 23rd I had been very sick with H1N1 which then lead to Pneumonia, Christmas day being the worst of all.. and then by Boxing Day the kids were getting sick as well. It was mostly Cash and Nixon who were sick and then around 4:30 Elias started to feel very hot, so I gave him some tylenol but didn't check his temperature. About 20 minutes later as we were watching a family movie together I looked beside me for a split second and saw Elias doing some weird facial expressions and he was shaking, I yelled for Jeremy and he came running in saying he was having a seizure, I have never experienced seeing anyone have a seizure. It was far worse then I could have thought and especially terrifying when its your own child. I was beyond scared not knowing what to do, Jeremy was quite calm and was handling it, until about a minute into the seizure he started turning blue and wasn't breathing.. I can still see those awful images in my head of him and gives me the chills. As soon as Elias turned blue, Jeremy said to call 911. I ran to the phone terrified and crying and honestly in that moment I thought he was dying. Poor Nixon was crying and so scared as well. Once I got the the dispatcher on the phone and honestly I was a little hysterical and don't remember much of what I said to her.. Jeremy had just blow a few breaths into Elias and his color started coming back. Thanks goodness!!! He was still incoherent for the next 10 minutes until the paramedics arrived and slowly he came too. He then had to ride in the ambulance to the Taber hospital where he was almost back to normal. It is uncommon for children over 5 years to have febrial seizures that have never had them before so they wanted to do blood work just to be sure everything was ok. His blood work came back normal so they assumed it was due to a sudden high fever, the kids most likely got H1N1 too but not as severe as me. H1N1 causes very sudden high fevers so that must be the reason Elias got a high fever in such a short period since he really only had a cough. What a relief!! Honestly I can't even begin to express how scary it all was, I never again want to go through that again!

Christmas this year was kind of a bummer for us. I was so sick for almost 2 weeks, sicker than I have ever been in my life and being over 8 months pregnant doesn't help. The boys too were sick on and off as well, so Jeremy had to care for us all holidays. The last few days of holidays Jeremy was able to take the boys skiing and snowboarding but other than that we were at home chilling everyday. I hope I never have a Christmas like that again. Despite christmas holidays being uneventful, we still had lots of fun prior to Christmas coming. Our little family all picked names this year and it was fun getting gifts for each other. Jeremy had Elias and got him Skylanders video game set. Elias had Jeremy and got him Zelda the video game that they could play together. Nixon had me and got me some very cute bracelets. I had Cash and he got a hammer toy and Cash had Nixon and got him a game board.
We had fun get togethers with both the Coopers and Hansen's. And we of course had our annual christmas picture with Santa which  I absolutely love! My adorable boys!!

Yet a start to another year and I haven't written anything on here almost all year..honestly with the birth of a third child I can see how much busier I have been since this little blog doesn't get any attention, especially having a crazy busy little boy like Cash to care for its even harder. I will be playing catchup a bit and hopefully I can be better this year, but I'm not promising anything. I will do a family update next, since its been so long. Happy New Year, 2014 here we come!
