So Long, Farewell..

So its come to that, my last post officially living in Saskatoon. As of today we have 2 days left until we pack up for good. My parents are coming from Alberta with a big covered trailer on Friday and then after that we will be gone from Saskatoon and on to Barnwell. Yup, soon we'll be calling Barnwell our home. Jeremy will be working in Taber and Lethbridge at 2 practises owned by the same dentist. So its a good in between place, plus it's my hometown and well as much as we both weren't set on living there, we know its where were supposed to be and we are really thrilled now!! It will be so fun to have my mom and dad just around the corner and also 2 of my brothers live there too. Elias will have his cousin Joel to play with all the time and i will have a sweet babysitter whenever i need her, my neice Saige who will be 12 soon!
Amid all the boxes, and cleaning we've been able to enjoy a little of having Jeremy FINALLY DONE school forever!! We went out to celebrate on the weekend with friends at "John's Steakhouse" and seriously had the best steak of my life. We also went out for our last walk by the river yesterday.. we will
miss those walks.
Night out on the town to celebrate both being done school and Dyck's b-day.
Too bad Amy had to leave early.
our last stroll by the river.

As much as i am excited to move onto this next phase in our lives.. I will be sad to go, more sad i think when i am settled and looking back. I will miss so many of you that have been such good friends.. hopefully most of you i will see often enough. And i will miss this city a lot and this home, even if its a 753 sq foot, 2 brd condo with 3 flights of stairs and a balcony we call our "yard"haha. Its the home we have so many memories in, the home we brought both our babies from the hospital too, the home of birthdays shared and the home that we had "ups and downs" going through school in. I am grateful to this home, but i am also VERY grateful to be moving on and UP from this.

this garage literally saved us, storage wise and from the freezing COLD!
So Farewell Saskatoon, you have been good to us!! I better get back to packing...
Nixon loves the boxes and sat on this one for a good 20min without moving.. it was pretty funny. We would leave the room and come back and he would just be sitting so cute doing nothing.

how cute is that.

One thing i know i will miss is Nixon sitting like this.

Seriously my favorite thing ever.

Whether he's playing with toys, enjoying a snack, watching baby einstein or just chilling.
I don't remember Elias kneeling like this very much, at least not all the time..

just one more of those sweet little baby things i will be holding onto very tightly.

Easter Weekend

We had a fun Easter weekend with the kids. Went to the petting zoo and saw the "spring" baby animals, Elias had alot of fun petting and holding them.  Then Sunday morning we woke up to see that the Easter bunny had stopped by. It was fun this year hiding the eggs and watching Elias run around finding them all. I made a little trail of mini eggs from his bed out into the living room, boy was he excited waking up to that...everytime he picked one up he got more and more excited.
We also got to enjoy watching General Conference. I so look forward to listening to the Prophets speak and as hard as it sometimes was to catch it all, in between kids, it was really great. It talked a lot especially in the last session about families, mothers and teaching our children about Jesus and his example. I am sooo grateful for my Savior and for the knowledge I have of this gospel. I am so grateful for eternal families and that because of his sacrifice for us we can all be together forever. What an amazing blessing.
And to finish off Easter weekend I took the kids to an easter egg hunt. There was ALOT of treats and the kids had soo much fun, playing on the playground, rolling down the big hill and playing with friends.
Overall a fun and spiritually uplifting Easter.
Okay, Elias looks like he's 8yr.

checking out the loot.

all you need is love.

So it's been seven.

Seven years together.
All i can say is its been pretty wonderful. Lots of ups and downs, lots of happiness and some tears..but mostly just down right awesome. I've always told Jeremy we can get through anything after 3rd year dental school and a new baby, haha and lets hope thats the least of our worries, doubt it though.

I've never been very good at writing beautifully or writing how i feel. So i am going to leave it to this quote, one of my favorites from our wedding album.

"I don't pretend to know what love is for everyone, but I can tell you what it is for me; love is knowing all about someone, and still wanting to be with them more than any other person, love is trusting them enough to tell them everything about yourself, love is feeling so comfortable and safe with someone, but still getting weak knees when they walk into a room and smile at you."

Love you baby,  Happy 7th!

It's official, now i'm really in trouble

its Nixon, and he's walking now. He took his 1st steps almost 2 weeks ago but had no interest in walking.. until yesterday and now he's doing it all by himself with out any coaxing. I was into enough trouble as it was with him crawling and getting into everything.. but now he's got a lot more height to reach and grab things now.. and now that the weather is warming up, he will be into exploring everything outside.

yes, can't  wait.
