Awesome Father's Day gift Ideas, homemade and more

So Father's Day is just around the corner, Sunday to be exact and i have been searching for a fun idea to make for Jer for father's day, something Elias could help out with too.
Thought i would share some of my finds, they all look super cute. Enjoy!

Here at simplekids they have some fun ideas.. i Love the D is for Dad card and making a whole fun day for father's day. I also love the photo shoot idea, dressing up like dad, so cute!
I also like the photo booth idea of going to the mall and getting some fun candids with the kids or having a family campout in the backyard.
Look-a-like photos of Dad, how cute would it be to dress up the kids someday like little dentists..haha
Here is a link to buy this card, but i thought how easy and cute it would be to just make it, check it out here

Here are some adorable ideas from living locurto, i love the "hero" package for dad of some of his fave treats. I also love the super cute "World's greatest Dad"labels from martha stewart, check out much much more ideas and all free printables here.

Oh Sweet Arizona..

Well we went to Mesa, Arizona like 3 weeks ago and lets just say its was awesome! We went with our good friends, Jubbers, Jahns and Bakers. I guess it was kind of our celebration for Finally graduating from Dental school.. and yes i mean all of us.. don't get me wrong our husbands did the studying and dental work.. but we put in alot of work too. After being in school together for 7 years, (our whole marriage), it was time for some fun and fun we had. Justin's parents graciously let us stay in their amazing place.. and we enjoyed every minute.
The backyard was awesome.. wicked pool and patio, playground, trampoline and on and on. The house was amazing inside and yes i am retarted and didnt get any pictures inside.. everything was so beautiful, like the master bedroom and the hallways with rock everywhere.. amazing.
Also in between all the pool time with the kids, us ladies got to enjoy some awesome shopping, i mean i have never seen so much shopping.. it was crazy, but oh so fun. The guys also got to enjoy some much needed golf, they all said they were amazing, unlike any other courses they have ever played on.

the ladies..

my brave little guy.. loved this all day long.

okay how cute are they all in the tub after a long day in the sun..

On Sunday we were able to go to the newly dedicated Mesa, Arizona Temple. It was so beautiful, the grounds were awesome.. but we didnt stay too long because of the deathly hot day, i swear 5 minutes longer and we all would have had sun stroke..

Elias and Lainey holding hands leaving the temple grounds.. so cute!
Off to the World Zoo and Aquarium.. this was alot of fun for the kids and really great for us too. So much to see, the aquarium was my favorite. I even touched a gross sting ray, Elias was loving them. Nixon was yelling as loud as could be at everything because he was so excited.. all in all great day.
all the kidlets lined up
love this, so typical of nixon yelling

log ride-Elias loved it and surprisingly it was fun
Adults only-time to Party

the guys boozing it up in the hot tub with orange creme pop

And lastly my 3 favorite photos of the kids enjoying their icecream.. SO CUTE!

Greta's face = priceless

All in all so much fun, good times, good friends and hopefully another trip down the road.

Getting Settled

**This was from last week**
So we've been moved in now for a few weeks and its starting to feel right at home here in Barnwell.
Actually its been so great. I love having my family soo close and good friends as well. It's also been awesome having Jeremy around, i get to sleep in here and there and he helps out with the kids alot.. it's going to be hard getting used to not having him around as much once he starts work.
Elias is loving having so much more space, a big yard and he gets to ride his bike all the time down the drive way. Nixon has been teething this month and lets just say its been bad. The 1st week we moved in he was soo sick, the highest fevers ever, diaherra, throwing up-the works. He loved this bean bag chair -all. snuggled up with his soother and blanky.. He's also so needy.. and he scowls at everyone, that is his new thing. He used to not be able to contain himself from smiling at everyone, but now he just scowls and when he wants something he kinda grunts/yells soooo loud. everyone laughs, but its getting so annoying. I think with teething, all the new faces and new changes lately he having a hard time.. so hopefully we get our Nixon back sometime soon.
Since we've been here we've gone bowling with my family for my mom's birthday and also just got back from visiting the Cabin last weekend, always so nice to go there.
this is soo the scowl he gives all the time now.
sooo sick..poor little dude.
my mom might kill me for posting this one while she's talking, but its the only shot i got with the grandkids and its cute.
Happy Birthday, love you!

Saige and Nixon, and Yikes no more soother after tonight!

Also we just got home from an AWESOME week in Arizona with our friends the Jubbers, the Jahns and the Bakers. Our husbands all graduate this June for Dental school and so this was our big hooray for Finally being done!
It was so much fun, Lots of pics to come!
