Gotta love the bike...

So we had to get Elias this bike.. after trying it out and hearing all about it, from Woody and Laura we just knew Elias would love it and LOVE it he does.
If you notice it has no pedals on it... the point is that you first learn the steering and balancing and then eventually they start coasting by pushing. This way they learn to balance, the trickest part of riding a bike. Anyways he cant get enough of this bike, it works really good as a bribe for potty training as well.. which actually is going pretty good, we have been doing it now for a month and he is finally telling me when he needs to go and having very few accidents.. Good job Buddy!

Well since its been so beautiful out we decided to go for a walk down by the river and try out the new spray park there, we had a picnic.. and of course Elias was riding his bike all over and had to ride it across Victoria bridge with Jer, he was pretty excited about that.. while me and Nixon strolled along.

after playing at the spray park

biking off to Victoria bridge..
my little sweetie.. loving the stroll ride
classic pic.. Elias just HAD to put his bike on the bike rake like daddy does...I laughed so hard
when i saw this,  soo cute eh??

So were off.. well officially on Wednesday we head out to Alberta. We are going to my parents cabin at echo lake in Montana for 10 days.. i am so excited to see ALL my family, i am ready for some major tube wars, swimming, quading, hiking and just lounging around. And then we are headed to Raymond for Raymond Days and to spend some time with Jer's family. We will also be FINALLY getting Nixon blessed too in Raymond.. he will be closer to 4 mths by then. I know time just flew by.. but anyways-later

He's got me...

those eyes..i'm hooked

Well Nixon is 3 months old already last week.. i cant believe how much older he looks.. and how much more smiley and alert he is. His little dimples and everything about him just gets me.. i am so in love with this little bundle of joy. Elias is finally taking to Nixon too.. wanting to hold him and give him his soother or a toy to hold.. I really do love being a mom, even on the rough days (which these days seems frequent) , i am so happy i am able to stay at home with them..

thats disgusting...

Its funny as Elias gets older.. he says some of the cutest things..

Just the other day.. as i was cleaning up from dinner and getting stuff out to make cookies
I noticed all my butter was gone... i knew i had had some and i said to Jer, "what happened to the butter".. he said" i used it for the roast & potatoes" and i said annoyed "why didnt you use the margarine"
Jer said "because its gross"

and then Elias piped up with " YA, thats Disgusting.."

We both just laughed soo hard.. i have never even heard him use the word disgusting before let alone in the right context...

i love those times..

These days...

Holy its been forever since i have put up a post.. but i guess i was visiting in Alberta for almost 3 weeks.
So we are back and man is it nice to be home, but it was nice despite being gone from Jeremy for so long and living out of suitcases with 2 kids.
We first went to Raymond for a visit.. Jeremy's parents had just gotten home off of there mission to Salt lake city. It was nice for Elias to his grandma and grandpa cooper (i meant toget a pic of them together)and for them to meet Nixon for the first time. It was also so fun to hang out with his family and for elias to be with all his cousins..
As we were visiting in Raymond i got a scary phone call from the hospital in Saskatoon stating that Nixon needed to be taken to the ER in lethbridge for further testing since his urine test had come back with a weird organism in it.. i was again really scared and poor little Nixon had to go again to the ER, his 3rd time in  his first 2 months. We then had to wait 4 days for the results and it came back that he had a bladder infection, that i guess is really rare for infant boys under 2 years. But he was healthy and doing good and just needed some antibotics again..grrrr.
Then when everything was worked out with Nixon we were able to travel to my parents cabin in Montana for a week. Elias got to hang out and play with his cousins everyday and had ssoo much fun being at the lake, going on quad rides, boating, throwing rocks and so on. My parents just added on a sweet new deck and a bunk house for all the family to stay over.. this will be the first summer that all the family will be at the lake.. it will be awesome!
After that i headed back to Raymond as Jeremy was just finishing up finals and was able to come home for his parents homecoming.. it was so nice to see him and his family was happy he could make it.
So now we are back, and happy to be. Jeremy is all done finals and its so nice to have him home. It's like i forgot how nice it is to have an extra hand around the house and with the kids and he has been so awesome! He is now working at the University doing a mechanical/maintenance  job for the summer, and actually likes it. but its sucks not having him home during the day like last week.
I took Nixon to his doctor appt on Thursday and now he has to get an ultrasound to rule out kidney problems or something like that.. they think possibly there could be something wrong since its very rare to get a bladder infection and since he keeps getting sick...grrrrr!! It just never seems to end with him grrr.., even though he is soo happy and really good now all the time. I am sure its nothing, so i really hope but i still am always secretly freaking out inside..
Besides all that, things are good and i am so happy Jeremy is done finals and we can enjoy the summer together. We are going to be back and forth between here and alberta.. and i soo look forward to the fun summer we will surely have.
Here are some photos from our stay...

Belated Easter & the massive chocolate ball

So i still wanted to get some pics up of Easter time even though its waaayy late.. i kinda forgot about these pics..
Jeremy saw this chocolate soccer ball and just couldnt resist getting it for elias he thought it was soo awesome.. isnt it soo big!! I almost died when he brought it home, haha.
Elias of course was in heaven and actually it was really good chocolate so we all enjoyed it.
I tried to get a few pics of the boys together chilling on the air matress Easter morning, elias of course wasnt too into it at first but then i got a few good ones. I can't believe how different Nixon looks already from when these were taken.. wow, you forget just how really fast they do grow.
i just love having 2 boys its so fun!

excited much!.. even Elias can't believe how lucky he is.
